The city of Youngstown, Ohio, is close to the Pennsylvania border, and students interested in a road trip can check out Pittsburgh or Cleveland, both home to professional sports teams and arts venues such as the Cleveland Playhouse and Pittsburgh’s Andy Warhol Museum. Notable alumni of Youngstown State University include Bob Davie, former University of Notre Dame football coach, and actor Ed O’Neill, who starred in Married…With Children and appears in Modern Family.
